CMMI® Level 3 Rating

The McLane Advanced Technologies' (MAT) Military Business Unit achieved the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model® Integration for Development (CMMI0DEV) Level 3 Appraisal rating in February 2008.

CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with essential elements of effective process. It can be used to guide process improvement across a project, a division, or an entire organization. CMMI help integrate traditionally separate organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes.

CMMI has become a standard for measuring an organization's capability to provide a process based approach to development of software to include software engineering and project management. Many government contracts today require a CMMI Maturity Level 3 to even bid for work. This rating wil now allow MAT to compete for larger government contracts.
