Tactically Unlimited Configurability, or TUC, is a totally new hardware-based solution that is much faster, less expensive, more reliable and can process much larger amounts data than current encryption technology. TUC is a set of microchips that can encode and decode Internet protocol-based data extremely quickly no matter what device is using it.
TUC can be used on a wide assortment of devices including laptop computers, cell phones, USB drives, radios and many others. TUC can handle gigabytes of information without any impact on processing speed at a fraction of the cost of current systems. The new devices vary in size from a USB flash drive to two decks of cards stacked on top of each other.
The new technology relies on field programmable-gated array (FPGA) logic chips that are constantly encoding and decoding the data passing over IP networks. TUC can rapidly reconfigure FPGAs “on-the-fly” at more than 700,000 times per second. This allows a secure connection over an insecure network, with multi-level security available on demand. TUC is the only encryption method implemented on a single chip that is interoperable with any packet-based communications system. The encryption units were indeed found to be “unbreakable” by the US military.
