CMMI helps integrate traditionally separate organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes

CMMI has become a standard for measuring an organization’s capability to provide a process-based approach to development of software to include software engineering and project management. Using CMMI includes the following benefits:
