James Chambers

Executive Vice-President

With over 33 years of military logistics experience, Major General (R) James Chambers is uniquely positioned to lead as Executive Vice-President at McLane Advanced Technologies. He concluded his distinguished career as the Director of Logistics, J-4, U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Previously, Major General Chambers served as the Commanding General, Sustainment Center of Excellence and Fort Lee, Virginia, Commanding General/Commandant for United States Army Transportation Center and School at Fort Eustis, Virginia, and the Director for Logistics Readiness, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff G-4, Washington, DC.

Upon entering the military in 1978 as a private, he served throughout the world in numerous leadership positions to include two Combat Tours; serving with the VII Corps Headquarters in Operations Desert Shield/Storm in Saudi Arabia and as the Commander, 13th Corps Support Command, Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Chambers earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physical Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and his Masters in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. He also attended the United States Army Command/General Staff College and the United States Army War College.

During his military career, he received multiple decorations and accolades including the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit (with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Meritorious Service Medal (6 Oak Leaf Clusters) .

Chambers and his wife of 38 years, Elaine, reside in Belton, Texas. They have two sons, Kyle and Chris and a Daughter in Law, Amber and a granddaughter named Madoline.
