INTERNET-BASED VETERANS ADMINISTRATION CLAIMS PROCESSING
MAT's web-based Veterans Case Management System (VCMS) provides a secure portal to manage claims for disability, spousal, and dependent benefits on behalf of those who have served in the United States Military. This system provides a standardized, secure environment for managing vital data from a wide range of sources. In addition to data imports, case managers are able to enter data and create a robust and useful resource of information.
Automation for improved organization and efficiency
VCMS brings a high level of organization and efficiency to veterans’ claims processing. The system maintains the integrity of the data by preventing duplicate data and preserves historical data for future reference. VCMS auto-populates a wide variety of forms, allows the case manager to add further information, and logs their submission to the Veterans Administration. The system also tracks all counselor contact with the veteran, tabulating and organizing the data to facilitate management reporting. Managers can generate reports as often as needed for all levels of an organization. They can prioritize work lists, analyze staff productivity and performance metrics, and view statistics on form submissions. All these features result in faster processing and better service for our veterans.
INTERNET-BASED VETERANS EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Our web-based Veterans Employment Development Plan (EDP) application provides a secure portal to create a veteran’s personal employment plan. Along with contact and demographic veteran info, it tracks current involvement, employment interests and obstacles, strengths and weaknesses, and short- and long-term goals for finding employment. The Reporting function captures active and closed cases by state, region, area, office, and case manager. In addition, voluntary information and other categories are captured during interviews.
Automation for data integrity
Using the same database as the VCMS, the EDP maintains the integrity of demographic and employment data while eliminating duplication of veteran data. The system tracks case manager contact with the veteran for historical purposes. Process workflow enforces mandatory data collection as the plan progresses; the plan is only set to active or closed when required fields are addressed. Managers generate and drill down into reports which reveal statistics from the entire caseload by hierarchy, down to the veteran.
